My blog has to be very short today. It’s late and we have a 4 am call to catch the plane to Pleiku near where I served during the war. We had a wonderful day in Ho Chi Minh City. We were taken to lunch by Ms. Ngoc (director of IIEVN in HCMC) and her husband, a teacher and professor. Great food and we enjoyed our conversation with them very much. Then Ms. Nguyen and Ms. Thi took us shopping where we really helped out the Vietnamese economy with our purchases. Then Ms. Hieu joined us and we went to see the famous water puppets. What a great show! Then dinner at a local restaurant featuring a stew of vegetables and fish. Magnificent. We have made such wonderful friends here and look forward to their visiting us in the USA. OK to bed and an early call in the morning. Whether Internet/email is available up in the Highlands, we don’t know. We’ll see!
